Duties
Supervise and manage the kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary to maintain stock.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
Assist in serving meals during peak service times to ensure timely delivery to guests.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and supervision.
Extensive knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Demonstrated ability in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation skills.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with familiarity with various cuisines.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and management.
