We are seeking a motivated and committed

Trainee Registered Manager

to support the launch and development of a brand-new residential children's home in Bedford. This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role with full support, training, and development, as you work towards full registration with Ofsted.

About the Role


Working alongside an experienced Responsible Individual and senior leadership team, you will be instrumental in supporting the setup and day-to-day running of the home. You'll help recruit and manage staff, contribute to policy development, and build a safe, child-centred environment where vulnerable children and young people can thrive.

Key Responsibilities



Support the setup and registration of the home with Ofsted Assist with recruiting, training, and developing a care team Contribute to creating a trauma-informed, nurturing environment Help ensure compliance with Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards Support the delivery of outstanding care for young people with emotional and behavioural needs Learn and implement systems for safeguarding, record-keeping, budgeting, and team management Work closely with senior staff to build leadership and management capabilities

Requirements



Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Working towards, or willing to work towards, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children and Young People's Residential Management) Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential children's home Passion for working with young people and a strong understanding of trauma-informed care A desire to learn, grow and take on leadership responsibility Excellent communication and teamwork skills Strong knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory standards (Ofsted)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
