We are seeking a passionate Trainee Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of food safety and hospitality within a restaurant environment. As a Trainee Chef, you will be responsible for assisting with kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, and working within a team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
Assist the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality food production.
Contribute to food preparation and presentation, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Input on the development of menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices in the kitchen.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Learn from the Chef in culinary techniques, food safety, and teamwork.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and be mindful of budget as directed by management.
Assist in the creation of special events or themed menus as required.
Qualifications
Level 2 Food & Hygiene (desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided).
Food Allergy training (desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided).
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and particularly weekends as needed, including bank holidays and the Christmas season.
