Trainee Conveyor Belt Fitter
Job Description
The position requires working in small teams to install, repair and maintain conveyor belts, particularly within the North West.
Experience would be beneficial but not essential, as full training will be given at our Bootle factory. However, the post would suit a person with a mechanical background.
We operate a 24 hour breakdown service and a flexible approach to working hours is essential, as out of hours call-outs are integral to the position.The candidate must also be prepared to work weekends. Overtime is paid for any additional hours worked.
We require a candidate who can:
Use a tape measure with 100% accuracy. This is essential to the job.
Identify requirements and the necessary resources for a given task.
Work to a high degree of accuracy during the various stages of manufacture, installation and maintenance .
Has a good understanding of basic mathematics.
Able to use own initiative and formulate practical solutions.
Is reliable, hard working, trustworthy and courteous.
A valid UK driving licence is required.
Your own tools are required.
