Trainee
Credit Controller (Fixed Term)
to join the team in Strabane.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to start a career in credit control within a busy finance department. Offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, the successful candidate will benefit from full training and support from the Group Credit Control Manager and the wider finance team. Over time, you will take on responsibility for credit control processes, build strong customer relationships, and contribute to the effective management of our debtor systems.

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday- 38.5 hours per week. Monday-Thursday- 9.00am-5.30pm and Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm
Contract Type:
6 Months Fixed Term Contract.
Key Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with the wider Credit Control team to achieve agreed targets.
Monitor and report on levels of outstanding debt.
Proactively identify and escalate potential issues or concerns.
Process and maintain Direct Debit mandates.
Deliver excellent customer service when dealing with account queries.
Assist in reducing debtor balances and debtor days.
Support new account setups, including obtaining credit references and performing checks.
Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the Group Credit Control Manager.
Process EDI files on a weekly basis.
Record and reconcile daily BACS payments in Sage, with weekly and monthly reconciliations completed.
Process incoming cheque payments daily in Sage.
Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required.
Essential Criteria:
Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook & Excel.
Good organisational skills.
Strong commercial awareness.
Strong attention to detail
Enthusiastic and willing to learn new things.
Teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
Previous experience in finance, credit control or commercial role would be advantages.
Ability to demonstrate how you have lived Frylite Solutions' Values in a previous role- Relationships, Respect, Work Ethic, Success & Excellence.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience using Sage would be advantageous.
