Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction while assisting the dental team in providing high-quality care. Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use. Provide excellent patient care by welcoming patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling to optimise workflow within the practice. Sterilise dental instruments and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient operation of the practice, including managing inventory of supplies.

Requirements

Previous experience in a dental assistant role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Basic knowledge of nursing principles is advantageous. Familiarity with IT systems related to dental practice management is beneficial. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and colleagues. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment.
