Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. As a Trainee Dental Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring that patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment journey.

Duties

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and sterilised. Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients and addressing their concerns before, during, and after treatments. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with practice protocols. Ensure the dental surgery is clean, organised, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure smooth operations within the practice.

Skills

Strong patient care skills to foster a supportive environment for patients. Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Background in nursing or relevant qualifications that demonstrate knowledge of healthcare practices. IT skills for managing patient records and using dental software efficiently. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy practice environment. Requirements

Must be enrolled on a Trainee Dental Nurse course

Must hold a valid full driving licence

Must be prepared to travel between our practice in Ashford and Tenterden (once open again)

Possibility of role turning into full time (once Tenterden re-opens)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 23.25 - 30.00 per week
