Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. Duties

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide direct patient care, including preparing patients for treatment, taking medical histories, and ensuring their comfort throughout the appointment. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations. Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean working environment in accordance with health and safety protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote better dental health. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications to ensure efficient patient flow within the practice. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high standards of care are met consistently.

Experience

Previous experience as a Trainee Dental Nurse is preferred but not essential; newly qualified nurses are welcome to apply. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in IT systems relevant to dental practice management is advantageous. A genuine passion for patient care and a commitment to continuous professional development.
