Job Description
Trainee dental nurse/receptionist (Apprenticeship)
Main purposes of job
- Provide chair side support to dentists / dental hygienists
- Assist other clinical members of staff with the delivery of service
Key tasks
- Assist with suction, retraction, passing of instruments and mixing materials
- Ensure all lab work is checked and available prior to patients arrival
- Cleaning and sterilising instruments
- Greeting and caring for patients
- Maintaining a clean environment
- Carrying out reception and administration tasks such as answering phone calls
Key results/objectives
- Keep up to date with CPD
- Abide by GDC standards and procedures
- Provide effective and efficient service to all patients
- Complete all training and examinations
Qualifications desirable
Maths and English GCSE - C grade
Days / Hours of work
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8.30 am - 5.30 pm
Occasional Saturdays may be required 8.30am - 13:00 pm
