We are seeking a dedicated and compassionateTrainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists during patient treatments, ensuring a high standard of patient care and maintaining a smooth clinical environment. Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials in advance of appointments
Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment care instructions, answering any questions they may have
Maintain strict hygiene and sterilisation protocols in line with health and safety regulations
Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times
Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and liaising with patients effectively
Ensure the clinical environment remains organised, clean, and welcoming for all visitors
Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns professionally
Qualifications
Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
Basic IT literacy to handle electronic patient records and appointment systems
Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant training will be available for those eager to learn
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and empathy at all times
