We have a position available for a

Trainee Dental Nurse.

Job Type:

Part-time/Flexible - Minimum 3 days/week.

Days and times to be arranged.

Starting Salary:

12.21

per hour.

About Us

We are a busy NHS practice well established in Folkestone for over 30 years. We have an excellent reputation within the local community with an established team of dentists and nurses.
We have modernised surgeries with air conditioning, digital radiography, touch screen autoclaves and fully computerised records using SOE/Exact and clinipads.

About You

The position requires reliability, flexibility, initiative, good communication skills and great team ethic.

Preference given to applicants that have already enrolled on a dental nursing course.

Specific Skills:

Those with a naturally caring personality will be well suited to this type of role. Good patient facing and people skills. Good communication skills. Ability to remain calm and professional. Patient focused, positive and enthusiastic. CQC experience and full knowledge of processes. Experience of working in a private and/or NHS practice desirable but not essential, as we will provide you with full training.

About the Job

You'll work as part of a small team and your role will be to deliver the highest level of patient care as well as assisting the dentists. You'll develop patient relationships and manage processes to ensure the patient experience is a pleasant and safe one with the best possible clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Caring for patients. Delivering trained/skilled tasks to an exceptional standard. Ensuring CQC requirements are met Providing clinical chair-side support to the dentist Maintaining stock levels of consumables within the practice Setting up and decontamination of instruments Maintaining and updating patient records Occasional reception duties, face to face and over the telephone
