We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and setting up necessary equipment
Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, ensuring they understand care procedures
Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
Ensure the clinical environment adheres to health and safety standards, including infection control protocols
Offer empathetic patient care, addressing concerns and answering questions effectively
Manage stock levels of dental supplies and organise equipment maintenance schedules
Qualifications
Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is desirable
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain professional relationships with patients and colleagues
