As a trainee dental nurse you will be required to undertake the NEBDN Dental Nurse Training Course and achieve a pass at the end of the course (or an equivalent recognised course).
On completion, you must register with the GDC (General Dental Council) and maintain your registration. Ongoing CPD is mandatory for all qualified dental nurses.

The applicant should have the ability to use their own initiative, ensuring that our protocols, policies, and practice standards are complied with daily.
Dental Nurses are required to assist during all general dental procedures and specialist cosmetic, restorative and implant procedures, with the clinician. They will be responsible for the daily cross-infection control and decontamination duties following our protocols and policies.
The role is predominantly chairside as a Dental Nurse assisting the Clinician/Hygienist, but this role may also involve some reception duties/tasks according to the needs of the business.

The Practice
Situated in Lingfield, close to the village centre (4 minute walk) and Lingfield rail station (9 minute walk), the practice is based in a lovely Victorian building. There is also space for on-site parking.
We will be providing general dentistry and hygiene services as well as Implants and Invisalign.
The Role
You will need:
To be enrolled/to enrol onto a recognised Dental Nurse course;
To have had the relevant vaccines (e.g. Hepatitis B);
To adopt and implement our instrument decontamination policy;
To provide clinical chair-side support to dentists;
To carry some administrative duties, i.e. some reception duties;
To be personable, positive, and enthusiastic with great patient focus;
To have strong communication skills;
To be passionate about providing excellent patient care;
To be willing to learn, adapt and embrace challenges.
The Package
12.21 per hour (10.15 if aged between 18 and 21).
In addition, we pay for:
Recognised Dental Nurse course fees;
Professional Indemnity;
Scrubs/Uniform;
Further professional development (T&C's apply).
Hours of Work:
18-27 hours per week;
8am to 5.30pm;
Patient's will be seen 8.30am to 5pm. Daily lunchbreak of 1 hour.
