Monday-Friday (8:30-6:30 or 10.30-7.30) + 2 Saturdays per month (8:30-6:00)

About the Role



We are excited to offer a

Trainee Dental Nurse

position for an enthusiastic individual eager to develop a career in dentistry. As part of our team, you will receive full training and mentoring to ensure you gain the skills and knowledge needed to assist in clinical procedures, provide patient care, and support the smooth operation of the practice. Once qualified, you will benefit from pay progression and support for further post-qualification courses in the future.

Key Responsibilities



Clinical Support:



Assist the dental team during treatments by preparing instruments, materials, and treatment rooms Provide chairside support and ensure patients are comfortable Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain cleanliness throughout the practice Sterilize dental instruments and assist with equipment preparation Maintain accurate patient records and support administrative tasks when necessary

Patient Care:



Greet and reassure patients, providing emotional support during their visit Assist in explaining treatments to patients in a clear, calming manner Help with post-treatment instructions and follow-up care

Team Collaboration:



Work closely with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure the smooth running of the practice Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborative atmosphere Take an active role in maintaining a supportive and friendly work environment

What We're Looking For



Essential:



A passion for patient care and an eagerness to learn about dental procedures Strong communication skills (fluent spoken and written English) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team A professional and calm demeanor, especially under pressure Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel) Willingness to work 1-2 Saturdays per month (with a day off in lieu)

Preferred:



Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting Basic knowledge of dental terminology (training will be provided) GCSE or equivalent qualifications
