Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting dentists during various procedures. This part-time position (2 days per week) requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment for our patients.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide chairside support, ensuring patient comfort and understanding throughout procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and update dental charts as required. Sterilise instruments and manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient queries, and processing paperwork efficiently. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations within the practice.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems. Previous experience as a nurse or in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential. A genuine passion for patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.

Parking on site for staff within 5 minute walk.
