Job Description

An exciting opportunity has opened for the position of a Trainee Dental Nurse at Porter Brook Dental in Sheffield due to growth in our patient base. We are looking for passionate, driven, enthusiastic individual who would like to work with highly skilled clinicians in a thriving work environment and join our team for dental nursing and covering reception duties.

Porter Brook Dental is a well-established family-owned private practice providing first class Family and Specialist Dentistry. Our patient centred approach is unique, which is reflected in our high retention rate of our patients and staff alike. We have a fantastic work culture, and our staff and patients rate us highly for this.

We have two well-established Lead Clinicians who provide the full range of dentistry including Implant & Surgical Dentistry. Our Dental Therapist is a vital part of the practice. We are currently supported by our fantastic Dental Nurses.

Our Specialist Restorative Dentist is registered on 4 Specialist Lists with the GDC for Restorative Dentistry, Prosthetic Dentistry, Endodontics and Periodontics.

Porter Brook receives referrals from dentists from all over Yorkshire and offers a wide range of complex procedures to the highest standard. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their own skills along with supporting clinicians to the highest standard with their organisational and nursing skills.

As a Dental Nurse, you will play a key role looking after every patient and supporting your dentist. You will set the highest standards for your team and your patients.

Requirements:

You will be registered with a recognised training programme for future registation with the GDC

Passionate about delivering excellent patient care.

Understand the importance of teamwork within the practice and can work effectively to support the team.

Have excellent organisational and influencing skills, using these to ensure that the practice delivers effective care.

Understand Private dentistry - offering treatment options to patients, best drive surgery efficiency and help the practice performance goals.

Demonstrating your full understanding of GDC and other regulatory responsibilities.
