Job Description

Due to expansion, a Trainee Dental Nurse is required 5 days per week for a predominantly NHS 10 surgery practice to join our fantastic team. The Dental Practice is an independent practice owned by a clinical dentist and not a corporate practice or part of a wider practice group.

Applicants will need to enrol on suitable Dental Nursing training course and the practice will help facilitate and support this. Excellent support will be provided by our experienced and qualified staff.

Applicants who are part way through training and are already enrolled on a training course will be considered.

The role will involve:

-Providing Chairside assistance to Dentists and Dental Therapists

-Carrying out infection control procedures within the surgery such as cleaning and disinfecting the surgery environment

-Completing charting and patient notes under the instruction of the Dentist/therapist

-Working in our Decontamination room cleaning and sterilising dental instruments

-Administration tasks related to the role

-The role will also involve assisting on reception, greeting patients, booking appointments and taking payments

-Full PPE is supplied as per guidance

(Trainee nurses are paid apprentice/minimum wage during training. Apprentice wage is paid to all new starters while they are in their initial induction training period, then pay is increased to minimum wage based on performance).

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Education:

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
