Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and professional Trainee Dental Nurse/Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our patients. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to patient care. The Dental Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, and assisting with administrative tasks to support the dental team. The Trainee Dental Nurse, will then follow on with outstanding patient care in our surgeries.

Duties



Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures. Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations efficiently. Handle patient inquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with regulations. Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries as necessary. Assist the dental team with administrative tasks as required, including managing correspondence and maintaining office supplies. Collaborate effectively with dental professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Uphold a clean and organised reception area to enhance the patient experience. Work in the surgeries as required alongside the clinicians and maintain patient care and understanding at all times. Set up and close down surgeries as required. Clean down between patients and use our decontamination room to clean and sterlise equipment Any other surgery duties required

Requirements



Previous experience in a receptionist role within a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are vital for interacting with patients and staff. Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A background in nursing or IT is advantageous but not mandatory. A genuine commitment to providing excellent patient care and support. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. To assist on reception or in the surgeries as required. Be enrolled on a Trainee Dental Nurse Course. Hold a full current driving licence. Be able to work between our practice in Ashford and Tenterden (when re opens).
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
