National Dental is a group of practices in the heart of Dorset providing quality general and specialist private only dentistry in Dorchester, Beaminster, and Blandford (with practices in Weymouth and Yeovil due to open in 2023).

Due to expansion, we have an exciting opportunity available for a Trainee Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our growing group of private practices in Dorset. We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual who takes pride in their work and can deliver a professional, high standard of work across our practices.

Initial training will be given on reception where you will learn to coverall reception tasks and responsibilities including greeting patients on arrival to the practice, providing excellent patient service, answering the phone, managing the appointment diary, taking payments, ensuring daily and weekly checks are carried out, cashing up, answering patient queries.

Following completing training on reception, you will be shadowing in the surgery and decontamination room where you will learn all the skills and requirements to be a top-quality dental nurse. Our dental nurses are required to follow all CQC standards including basic duties such as, decontamination of instruments, ensuring the surgery is kept to a clean, tidy and high standard, as well as providing chair side assistance with treatments, dental charting on the dental software, x-ray development, stock management and liaising with reception.

You will be trained by an experienced team who will support you every step of the way with a full training and induction plan in place, tailored to your growth with regular progress reviews during each stage of your training to ensure you are ready to move on to the next step of the plan.

The individual we are looking for should be presentable, well mannered, friendly, reliable, have a desire to learn and progress, have good I.T skills, work well as an individual as well as a team player, have excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate would also possess a full driving license as we are a multi-site practice and can enhance your learning with experiences across the practices (mileage/travel paid).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-18.00 per hour
