Job Description

As a Trainee Dental Nurse/Receptionist, you will be integral to providing high-quality patient care in a dental setting. Reporting to the lead dentist, your role will involve assisting with patient interactions, managing appointments, and ensuring smooth operations within the practice. Your core skills in patient care will be complemented by your relevant abilities in communication, IT, and organizational skills, enabling you to effectively support both patients and dental staff. Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care by assisting with dental procedures and ensuring patient comfort. Manage reception duties, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries. Maintain accurate patient records and manage sensitive information with confidentiality. Utilize IT systems for efficient communication and organization of patient data. Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure smooth clinic operations and effective teamwork.

Hours

This is a part time job initially which could potentially turn into full time, the hours for this job are:-

Monday*:- 2pm-7pm

Tuesday*:- 9am-3pm

Wednesday*:- 10am-4pm

With 1 hour lunch between 1pm-2pm.

What qualifications you will achieve as an Apprentice Dental Nurse?

You will achieve a Level 3 qualification following an 18-24 month training programme. Before taking your end-point assessment, you must achieve level 2 English and Maths (equivalent to GCSEs at grades Ato C) if you have not already achieved them and can provide evidence confirming this.

What will you learn as an Apprentice Dental Nurse?

Oral anatomy and physiology, respiratory and circulatory systems. How infectious diseases are transmitted and prevented. Dental materials, equipment, and resources. How to deal with medical emergencies. Legislative compliance and regulatory requirements. Clinical skills. Health promotion. Patient care and management.
