Trainee Dental Nurse/receptionist

Applicants must be available for interview on either Friday 5th, Monday 8th or Wednesday 10th December - please state your preference when applying.

We are a six surgery practice, equipped with SOE Exact computer system, fully air conditioned surgeries and a well established team and patients.

We are looking for the right candidate to join our existing friendly team in Winchester

Working hours:

Monday - Thursday 7.45am - 5.15pm.

Friday 7.45am - 4.15pm.

(occasional Saturdays will be required, but a day off during the week will be given - Saturdays 8.45-3.45)

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming patients Managing busy diaries Maintaining and updating patient records Customer Service focussed Experience of EXACT (SOE) system desirable. Maintain a strong emphasis on the patient journey and level of service provided Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Provide chair-side assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available Observe patient confidentiality at all times Handle all substances in accordance with health and safety policies Be familiar and comply with all health and safety rules and guidance, PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control, waste disposal, etc. Complete laboratory request forms, keep records of work sent, received and fitted Develop and file radiographs Order/ask the practice manager to order new supplies as required Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a DBS check upon receiving a job offer.

Following successful probation, the candidate will be expected to enrol on a Dental nurse training course to gain their NEBDN qualification (or equivalent) which will be funded by the company. Basic, on the job training will be given by experienced and/or qualified staff prior to enrolling on the course.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.25-12.50 per hour
