Trainee Dental Technician (xr02)
Job Description
Training Contract - Recruitment to this position is subject to funding To work as a trainee dental technician and construct and provide routine dental devices to the dental production laboratory, working within departmental procedures and guidelines to support the delivery of a high standard of service to patients, staff and Trust departments. The jobholder will be undertaking a training programme within Leeds Dental Institute. The training will be delivered through formal education delivered by the School of Dental Care Professionals situated within Leeds Dental Institute. It is expected that the trainee will commit to self-directed study and successfully complete the training programme within the contract period.
Under supervision the post holder will undertake routine technical duties, as directed, in the Dental Production Laboratory, working within departmental procedures and guidelines. Duties may include access to patient information, processing documentation, entering information onto the appropriate IT system and retrieving information as and when required, constructing a range of basic dental devices in tandem with their training programme.
