About the Role:
We're looking for a passionate and driven
Trainee Deputy Manager
to join a brand-new, state-of-the-art children's home in
Goole, Yorkshire
. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to develop their management skills and progress in a leadership role while making a real difference in the lives of young people.
Working alongside an experienced management team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the home, supporting both Residential Support Workers and the young people in care. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous experience in residential care looking to take the next step into a management position.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the operation of the home and ensuring high standards of care are met.
Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Residential Support Workers.
Ensure a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and young people, focusing on their emotional and behavioural needs.
Implement and contribute to care plans, supporting young people with their individual needs.
Promote a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment.
Manage rotas, conduct staff supervisions, and help maintain regulatory compliance.
About You:
You'll have a
Level 3 or 4 qualification in Residential Childcare
.
Previous experience working with children or young people in a residential care setting is essential.
You're looking to develop your management skills and progress within a growing and supportive company.
You have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
A passionate, empathetic, and dedicated approach to supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
A commitment to creating a positive and therapeutic environment for children and staff alike.
