We are seeking a full -time or part- time Trainee Dispenser to join our busy, friendly and experienced dispensary team Spilsby Surgery, Spilsby, Lincolnshire
Full Training will be given alongside NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional individual who demonstrates excellent communication skills and is able to prioritise their workload. Previous experience in a GP setting and in using a clinical system ( e.g Systmone) would be advantageous. The main duties of the role will be issuing and dispensing repeat prescriptions and the workload associated with this.

Job responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Issue and dispense acute and authorised repeat prescriptions for patients as required.
Store and monitor drug stocks in accordance with guidelines and re-order as necessary.
Deal with enquiries from patients regarding medication and liaise with medical personnel regarding these.
Liaise with other organisations e.g pharmacies, drug companies, pharmaceutical wholesalers, to ensure medication is available to patients within the specified time period.
Keep the dispensary area tidy and dispose of waste drugs through approved channels on a regular basis.
Keep up to date with current practice, prescribing trends, and government drug tariffs.
Maintain full and accurate records of all dispensing transactions for patients.
Take prompt action is response to any drug bulletins that may be received.
Work as part of the dispensary team.
Work safely at all times in accordance with legislative requirements and practice Standard Operating Procedures and policies.
Maintain confidentiality/data protection in accordance with local and national regulations and policies.
The practice promotes an ethos of equality, diversity and inclusion which must be respected at all times.
