The Opportunity

Mayglothling Waste Ltd is offering a

trainee position

for a motivated individual looking to build a long-term career in the waste and environmental services industry.

This role provides the opportunity to

progress through HGV training

and develop into a

fully qualified Class 2 Driver

, while gaining hands-on experience working alongside our established driver teams.

This is a

ground-level role

-- ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, practical mindset, and a genuine desire to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Work alongside qualified drivers assisting with domestic septic tank emptying operations Support all work-related activities on site, including hose handling, setup, and clean-down Assist with vehicle checks, cleaning, and general upkeep Carry out a variety of yard duties including vehicle washing and yard maintenance Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures Maintain a positive, professional attitude when working with customers and colleagues

Training & Development

Successful candidates will be supported to complete:

HGV Class 2 driver training

(subject to performance and commitment)

Confined Space Awareness / Risk Training

High-pressure jetting (jetter) training

Ongoing operational and safety training for future progression

Essential Requirements

Full UK car driving licence

No points

on licence Strong work ethic with a

hands-on, can-do attitude

Willingness to learn, take instruction, and work as part of a team Comfortable with physical, outdoor work in all weather conditions

Desirable (Not Essential)

Tractor driving experience Previous experience in construction, agriculture, utilities, or similar hands-on environments
