A well-established engineering consultancy business is looking for an Earthing Field Technician to join their growing team. The role is field based with travel across the UK. The candidate must be based near to Driffield to travel with their team in a company vehicle. You'll be part of a small, friendly team carrying out earthing condition assessments at substations and other high-voltage installations across the UK.

No prior experience in earthing systems? No problem -- full training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who's eager to learn and develop technical skills in a specialist, high-demand field. With the right attitude and commitment, this role can grow into a Lead Field Technician position.

What You'll Do

Carry out electrical tests and visual inspections on earthing systems to confirm safety and integrity. Perform soil resistivity and fall-of-potential tests. Collect and record technical data for use in detailed engineering reports. Work as part of a small, supportive team on sites throughout the UK. Spend time on-site (Monday-Friday travel) and occasionally in the office at Little Driffield (equipment maintenance, admin tasks). Contribute to a strong health & safety culture and deliver excellent customer service.

What We're Looking For

A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn - full training provided. Comfortable working outdoors and travelling across the UK (Monday-Friday). Good basic IT and communication skills. Strong teamwork and organisational skills. A full UK driving licence (or equivalent).
Experience working on high-voltage sites or an electrical qualification would be an advantage, but not essential.
