This is an exciting opportunity to develop knowledge and expertise in assisting with the creation of designs for electrical installations required to fulfil the company's contracts. Learning and contributing to the integration of electrical design activities with other processes and technical disciplines: -

Assisting in the development and production of electrical design documentation to meet contract requirements using PDMS, Autocad, and Microsoft Office. Documents may include: Assisting in modelling E&I equipment in PDMS/E3D, including cable tray, supports, lighting, etc. Supporting the creation of Cable Tray Routing Drawings, Cable Routing Drawings, E&I Equipment Layout Drawings, Lighting Calculations/Layouts, Electrical Cable Schedule, Hazardous Area Schedule, Single Line Diagrams, and Earthing Drawings Liaising with the Electrical Engineer to learn about the identification and selection of electrical equipment for compliant project documentation Supporting the integration of EC&I design with the rest of the equipment/structure and other departments, such as Process and Structural Assisting in checking in-house documentation from other departments Learning and supporting the review/validation of vendor documentation Contributing to the development of electrical design and procedures to ensure that all contractual requirements are achieved safely and cost-effectively Carrying out tasks as required by the Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation Manager Learning and becoming proficient in PDMS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office for electrical design documentation. Gaining expertise in modelling E&I equipment, cable trays, supports, lighting, etc., using PDMS/E3D. Developing the capability to create various electrical design documents and liaise with Electrical Engineers. Building experience in integrating EC&I design with other departments for a comprehensive project design

Essential Professional Qualities



HNC/HND Minimum, with an interest in designing electrical installations for the Offshore/Petrochemical Industries Demonstrable interest in learning and applying knowledge of PDMS and lighting calculations Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of industry trends

Capabilities/Competencies



Detail-oriented with meticulous attention to detail in the creation and review of electrical design documentation Comfortable learning in a team, taking responsibility for own and others' work Prepared to work both independently and as part of a team Accurate worker with good attention to detail. Ability to work on their initiative, demonstrating commitment to entrusted tasks Excellent written and verbal communicator at all levels
