Trainee Estimator
Job Description
Jones Building Group are recruiting for a Trainee Estimator to join our team at our Yeovil office, to estimate public and private sector projects from values of 1k up to 2M across the south and southwest.
This would be an excellent opportunity for a College/University graduate leaver looking to start their career in the Construction Industry. Industry knowledge is not a necessity as all training will be provided.

Responsibilities:
Attending sites to estimate
Review tender documents and drawings, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.
Responsible for calculating the costs of a project before work commences, covering everything from materials, labour, equipment hire, transport costs and everything in between.
Who are we looking for?
Someone with Influencing and negotiation skills with the supply chain and/or external clients to ensure the business maximises profit
Excellent level of numeracy and verbal communication skills
Proficient on MS Office including Excel
Good team player
Uses initiative, can solve problems independently
Demonstrates good judgement in decision making
Good organisational and time management skills
