The Role

This is not a repetitive bench-welding job.

As a Trainee Welder Fabricator at Newspace, you'll work alongside skilled fabricators on full modular buildings and portable accommodation units. You'll gain hands-on experience in fabrication, MIG welding, assembly, and finishing, and have the chance to move between different stages of production to learn the full process.

You may also get occasional site exposure, helping with the assembly or installation of units--giving a real understanding of the complete lifecycle of our products.

What You'll Learn

Fabrication and welding techniques, including MIG welding Working with jigs and fixtures for accuracy and quality Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings Assembly and finishing of modular structures Health, safety, and quality standards in a busy fab shop environment

Who We're Looking For

Enthusiasm to learn and develop welding and fabrication skills Interest in working on large, varied structures Team player with a proactive attitude Willingness to undertake occasional site work Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
