Overview

We are seeking a Trainee Fencer to join our small but busy team.

Applicants will be responsible for the installation and repair of fencing and decking structures. Training will be provided.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate will have a good level of physical fitness to lift heavy materials and be able to work outdoors in all weathers.

Driving licence essential and a basic understanding of hand and power tools would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

Install various types of fencing, decking, pergolas and sheds. Fabricate fencing components as needed to meet specific project requirements. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation. Conduct repairs on existing fencing structures, ensuring durability and safety. Collaborate with team members to assess project needs and timelines. Maintain an organised work area, ensuring all tools and materials are accounted for. Adhere to safety protocols while working on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform basic masonry tasks when required for fence installation. Assist in other construction-related tasks such as shed felt roofing or painting as needed.

Experience

Experience in fencing installation or related construction work beneficial but not mandatory. Knowledge of using hand and power tools an advantage. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision. Good interpersonal skills and a customer focused approach required.#
