TEXO Utilities are a leading engineering specialist within the utilities industry, providing bespoke mechanical engineering solutions to critical utilities assets and infrastructure nationwide. We are expanding our field service team and are looking for motivated individuals to join us as Trainee Field Service Engineer.
What You'll Do
Support experienced engineers on site across Yorkshire and the UK as required
Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical assets and systems in the utilities sector
Learn and apply rope access, confined space rescue and other specialist techniques
Work to the highest standards of health and safety
Gain hands-on training in specialist equipment and engineering practices
What We're Looking For
A genuine interest in engineering and practical, hands-on work
Willingness to work outdoors and in sometimes challenging environments
Flexibility to travel and stay away from home as and when required
Physically fit and comfortable with working at height and in confined spaces
A team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Must hold a current full UK driving licence
Any previous experience of the following would be highly advantageous
- Mechanical maintenance
- Fabrication, Welding
- Heavy engineering
- Heavy machinery
- Mechanics
- Construction
- Experience with valves, pumps, gearboxes, actuators, pipework, etc
