Salary details: Grade 8, 33,708 - 37,399 / Grade 9, 39,890 - 44,096 (Career Graded)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

The Regulation & Enforcement Service are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work within the Food Team, as a qualified Food Compliance Officer or Trainee Food Compliance Officer.
The trainee position is for applicants who have completed a Level 5 course as stated in the food law code of practice and are requiring assistance in completing the CIEH associated portfolio and associated CIEH requirements to gain CIEH membership.
The authority is well versed in providing extra training and will assist you in every aspect. You will be expected to carry out approximately 80% of your week working within the department completing tasks that all suitable for your level of experience. The remaining 20% will allow any candidate to complete the CIEH portfolio. On gaining CIEH membership and completion of the current food law competency framework the position will change from a grade 8 to a grade 9 salary.
The Food Team is responsible for delivering the Council's Food Hygiene, Food Standards, and H&S functions together with our imported food responsibilities.
