Priory Hospital Kneesworth Houseis looking to recruit a Trainee Forensic Psychologist to join the team we have Acute 32 beds, male and female, 18+, Rehabilitation and Recovery (R&R) 23 beds, male and female, 18+, Secure 46 beds, male and female, 18+, Psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) 11 beds, females, 18+ and a Bespoke therapeutic placement (BTP) adults, R&R.
The hospital also provides acute and psychiatric intensive care, medium and low secure services, and bespoke therapeutic placements. Priory's acute and PICU services aim to allow more people to be treated closer to home and we support the NHS to repatriate out-of-area patients back to local areas.
What you'll be doing

you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patientsContribute to the development of group work programmes in accordance with the Psychology group work programme. Deliver programmes to high standard and maintain treatment integrity as required.
Contribute to the evaluation of effectiveness of the programmes and communicate results as required.
Contribute to the maintenance and development of the referral system and office systems for the Psychology department.
To conduct ongoing assessment and monitoring of clinical outcomes, in order to evaluate current interventions and improve services

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will have completed a BPS-accredited undergraduate psychology programme, achieving at least an upper second-class degree. Where necessary, they should have also completed any postgraduate qualification required by the British Psychological Society (BPS) as a prerequisite for progressing towards a training role. Additionally, it will be essential for the candidate to enrol on the appropriate training programme to support their professional development.
