Pay rates:



Weekdays: 12.21 per hour Saturdays/Nights: 17.22 per hour Sundays/Bank Holidays: 22.34 per hour

Start your healthcare career with us as a Trainee Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW). You'll receive full training and support to help you succeed in this rewarding role.



What you'll learn and do:



Support patients with daily living needs, including personal care and physical comfort. Take basic observations, explain treatments, and keep patient records accurate. Assist with mobility, mealtimes, and engage in meaningful conversations with patients. Help prepare for clinical procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment. Work independently and as part of a team, supporting nurses and other professionals to deliver high-quality care. Follow Trust policies to keep patients safe, including safeguarding and infection control.

Where you'll work



Rated 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is one of England's first Integrated Care Organisations. What you'll need:



At least 3 months' healthcare experience within the last 2 years. A genuine passion for care and commitment to the six values that underpin 'compassion in practice': Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage and Commitment. To be 18 or over (or turning 18 before your placement starts). Availability to work at least 30 hours a week across early, late and night shifts during the programme.

If you're successful, we'll invite you to an interview and assessment day (planned for 21 January 2026). You'll then receive free classroom training (week commencing 16 February 2026) and a full induction before you start your role.
