The Role
We are looking to recruit a
Trainee Helpdesk Engineer
to join our growing helpdesk support team. This is office based at BS39 7SW, providing remote support to our business and education clients.
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Serve as the first point of contact.
Assist clients with hardware and software issues and troubleshooting problems with support from senior members of the helpdesk team.
Ticket management, documenting issues, tracking issues whilst delivering timely resolution
Work closely with fellow helpdesk technicians and field engineers
What You'll Need
We're looking for someone who is looking to learn and grow as a person. Whilst previous technical skills or experience would be a bonus, we are looking for a person with a proactive mindset, and the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users.
You'll have some experience / qualifications relating to the latest technologies, will possess excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstrate exemplary communication skills with users of all abilities and backgrounds.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in an IT support role supporting schools or education establishments / businesses would be beneficial but not essential.
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS and safeguarding check
Technical Experience (any of the following beneficial):
Basic Network Administration (VPNs, Ubiquiti WiFi, Firewalls, Switches)
Any knowledge or experience of using Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, Teams.
JAMF or other Apple MDM solutions
Google Workspace, Chromebooks, Google Workplace (not essential but a bonus)
