Trainee HGV Driver | Full time | Site Based | Ashby de la Zouch

Do you enjoy driving? If so, come and join the EV Cargo Driver Training Academy!

No HGV experience is necessary as we will provide you with a comprehensive twelve-week training plan which will result in you becoming a a fully qualified HGV truck driver with a long-term career at EV Cargo.

The training program and fees are fully funded* and you will be both trained and tested by our own internal trainers and examiners. We will give you the tools, training and support you need to do the job well and safely.

We manage supply chains for the world\'s leading brands and you could be and integral part of that chain.

THE SALARY
\xc2\xa310.42 per hour during training and once you have completed the 12-week training program and successfully obtained your licence you will be promoted into a Driver Role relevant to your base depot along with a salary increase to reflect this.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Making multiple drops throughout the day.
Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
Provide excellent customer service while going to different sites.

Various HGV driving duties, including daily checks to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use, complying with vehicle security and standing procedures at all times.
Manage the hand held terminals and be able to record accurate information.
Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned to the Transport Office.
Report any delivery issues in a timely manner to the Transport Office.
Provide a professional driving service, meeting and exceeding customer expectations
Ensure health and safety standards are adhered at all times
Able to work weekends.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Qualifications. Candidates must possess a full/clean car Licence.
Communication. You will have good communication skills - both written and spoken. You will demonstrate a motivated attitude towards achieving commitments.
Planning and Organisation. You will be adaptable in your start and finish times and have the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines along with the flexibility to manage changing priorities and the ability to multi-task.
People & Self Development. You will have the ability to self-motivate, self-manage and work both autonomously and as part of a team. You will also have a flexible \'can do\' attitude to cope with changing priorities and have an excellent work ethic
