Trainee Insulation Installer 16-18 year old

We are recruiting a Trainee Insulation Installer to join our team at our East Kilbride depot. The position is full time and permanent and after successful completion of 6 months training will lead to a role as an Insulation Fitter. No Experience needed. Ideally suit a 16-18 year old.

Wages are paid weekly and initially meet NMW, rising on completion of training.

All we ask is that you are a hard worker, are naturally keen to do a job well, prepared to pull your weight to get a job done and tidy up after yourself. You will need to be comfortable working in various conditions including dusty, confined, hot or cold.

We will provide you with full training on installing Loft Insulation and Underfloor Insulation as well as on our ways of working and the use of our systems.

We offer a full uniform, Weekly pay (1 week in arrears), 28 days paid holiday (including statutory), a contributory pension and the opportunity to grow your skills into more areas.

Working hours are 7.30am at the depot in Kelvin Industrial estate and the shift ends when the job is complete. Fridays we aim to finish around 1pm. We work 40 hours per week, but finish times will vary each day. Each van will have 1 job a day, 2 small jobs or be part of a team on a larger project. The van returns you to the depot at the end of the day.

We run a couple of bonus schemes and there are (non-compulsory) opportunities to work away on occasion which attracts additional payments.
