What You'll Be Doing:

As a

Trainee IT Network Engineer

, you'll gain real-world, hands-on experience from day one. You'll work alongside Senior Engineers on secure and mission-critical projects, with full training, mentorship, and the opportunity to work toward professional industry certifications.

Key responsibilities include

:

Assisting and shadowing experienced engineers Learning the ropes of IT hardware/software setup, commissioning, and decommissioning Helping manage inventory, equipment, and documentation Supporting with software installs, cable fitting, PAT testing, and on-site tech support Gaining insight into secure environments and how IT systems operate in real-world, high-stakes settings

What We're Looking For:

No professional experience? No problem. We're looking for someone who's curious, committed, and eager to learn.

Must-haves:

A real interest in IT systems, networking, or tech Eligibility to gain UK Government Security Clearance (see gov.uk) Willingness to work hands-on in technical, physical environments (e.g., stairs, confined spaces, lone working) Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset

Nice-to-haves:

Knowledge of Linux or similar operating systems A UK driving licence An interest in future career progression, including out-of-hours callouts Desire to follow structured processes and keep things neat and safe

This role is based fully on-site in Farnborough and may require occasional UK travel.


Due to the nature of the work, eligibility for UK National Security Vetting is essential.
