You will work closely with and be mentored by our
Lead Health & Safety Consultant
, an experienced practitioner and former H&S Manager, who will guide your professional development and help you build the skills needed to deliver practical, client-focused safety solutions.
This is a hands-on role offering exposure to real-world consulting, from site visits and audits to policy development and client engagement.
Responsibilities
Support the delivery of health and safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments under supervision.
Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing safety management systems, policies, and procedures.
Contribute to preparing clear, concise reports and action plans for clients.
Participate in client meetings and help deliver training sessions or toolbox talks.
Learn to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend proportionate control measures.
Keep up to date with relevant legislation, guidance, and best practice.
Work alongside senior consultants to promote a positive safety culture and practical solutions tailored to each client's needs.
Skills & Attributes
A genuine interest in health and safety and a desire to build a consulting career.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with good attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and take guidance from experienced consultants.
Ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and as part of a team.
Confidence to engage with clients in a professional and approachable manner.
Basic understanding of health and safety principles (training will be provided).
A recognised health and safety qualification (or working towards one, e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate) would be an advantage.
Full UK driving licence desirable, as travel to client sites will be required.

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
