Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be a key member of the finance team. You will be working closely with the Finance Manager to prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts including investigating and explaining variances against budgets and forecasts and taking part in month end review calls with senior management. You will prepare budgets and forecasts, with support from the Finance Manager. You will proactively business partner across different departments in the business to identify value adding opportunities. You will also be responsible for preparation and submission of VAT returns and various other ad hoc tasks and analysis as required.

Ideal candidates will be:

Part qualified (ACCA/CIMA) Have previous experience working within a fast-paced finance department or practice background looking to make a first move into industry Excellent mathematical, analytical skills Adherence to deadlines Timely month end close Timely and accurate month end and other reporting Effective business partnering i.e. identification and implementation of and problem solving skills Great attention to detail Strong organizational, multi -tasking skills and ability to work to strict deadlines whilst effectively managing personal workload Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate across all levels with finance and non-finance individuals Experience of being a productive and valuable member of a team Capable of working with minimal supervision Desire and ability to drive improvements and create efficiencies Good knowledge of Microsoft office and strong Excel skills A positive 'can do' attitude and strong interpersonal skills demonstrating high level of integrity
