Job Summary

An AAT-qualified accountant responsible for core financial tasks using SAP S/4HANA, while actively pursuing CIMA or Chartered Accountancy qualifications.

Combines hands-on accounting work in SAP with structured study, focusing on transactional accuracy, reporting automation, and process efficiency.

Protected study time and SAP upskilling are core to this development role.

Key Responsibilities

Core Accounting Duties (SAP S/4HANA Focus):

Process journals, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset entries. Execute month-end close tasks (e.g. reconciliations, inter-companies) Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheets) Manage accounts payable/receivable workflows Support budgeting/forecasting Resolve SAP transactional errors Shadow senior staff on SAP-driven processes: product costing, profitability analysis. Apply CIMA technical knowledge to SAP data for variance analysis Automate routine tasks using SAP Supporting the Company Secretary in all matters of a Financial nature

Essential Skills Profile

Technical Skills

AAT Level 4 Diploma Integrated Accounting System Usage: General, Purchase & Sales Ledgers, Assets, Payroll MS Office Suite Compliance: VAT returns, Office of National Statistics Ideally experienced in SAP S/4HANNA or other integrated systems

Study Pathway

Enrolled in CIMA with exam progression plan

Analytical Skills

Interpret system outputs (e.g., financial statements, cost centre reports) Identify system-driven data anomalies

Qualifications & Progression Support

Essential: AAT Level 4 Qualified

Pathway Commitment: Enrolled in CIMA with passed foundation exams.

Pay: 28,000.00-30,000.00 per year
