We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Nursery Assistant to join our team. As a Trainee Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in our care.
Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote learning and development.
Provide care and supervision for children, ensuring their safety at all times.
Support children's emotional and social development through positive interactions.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and well-being.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere.
Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance professional development.
Experience
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills are beneficial for guiding activities and supporting team dynamics.
Requirements
Good communication and teamwork skills
Experience of working in an employed role
An enhanced DBS check or willing to undergo one
Ability to provide two references, one of which must be a current or previous employer
Patient, reliable and a caring attitude
GCSE in English and Maths at C grade or above
