Castle Nursery are currently in the process of recruiting dedicated trainee nursery practitioners to join our team. The candidates must be willing to undertake a developmental programme leading to an Early Years qualification with the support of a mentor. There are full and part time vacancies available. Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Supervise and engage children in play and learning activities
- Monitor children's development and provide feedback to parents or guardians
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the nursery area
- Collaborate with other nursery practitioners to create a positive and inclusive environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable however is not essential.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices is desirable however is not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a childcare setting
