Job Description

We are a small, family run domestic oil company based in Writtle, Essex (CM1).

We cover Essex and some parts of Hertfordshire and Suffolk.

We have a

permanent position

looking for a

Trainee Oil Tank installer

. You will be working with another engineer installing oil tanks & associated pipework / groundwork. You will also be responding to emergency pump-outs as required.

This is a

physically demanding role

, so you need to be fit and strong and able to work outside in all weathers. There are also opportunities to progress within the company.

Experience of driving a larger vehicle / truck / van is advantageous, as you will be driving to customers properties.

Due to our insurance, you must be over 25 years old and have held your clean UK driving Licence for a minimum of 2 years.



Attend customers properties for the installation of plastic and metals oil tanks

Complete any associated groundwork for the installation of an oil tank

Complete associated pipework for the installation of an oil tank.

Repair and troubleshoot copper or steel pipework.

Repair, troubleshoot and install barrel piping.

Install and troubleshoot Watchman and Apollo oil tank gauges.

Install Firevalves and Tiger-Loops as requested/required.

Pressure test oil lines.

Paint metal oil tanks.

Cut up and recycle oil tanks in yard.

Collect and take any scrap metal to be recycled.

Use a forklift to load oil tanks and move tanks and scrap in the yard.

Deliver oil tanks to customers.

Assist Boiler Engineers when required.

Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
