Protocol Capital Management provides Independent Financial Advice with a focus on long-term relationships and a high standard of client care. We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Paraplanner to join our team and develop their career through an apprenticeship program.

What you'll do at work



Assist the Financial Adviser in researching, analysing & formulating financial recommendations, tailored to meet the client's individual needs, using a variety of software and tools Prepare personalised reports which confirm the advice in an understandable and compliant way Complete technical financial calculations and cash flow forecasting Take a proactive approach to problem solving - find opportunities to streamline processes and contribute to business development Collaborate with a welcoming team to gain exposure to all aspects of the financial planning journey, working alongside operations, compliance and support services Ensure recommendations and processes comply with regulations and manage risk Contribute to a cooperative and professional office environment and support positive relationships with clients Maintain client records and process applications according to company processes and confidentiality principles

Training



Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You'll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

You will achieve the Paraplanner and Financial Planner Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard:

Funded learning and development programme that includes the DipPFS Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning Develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of successful Paraplanners

Essential qualifications



GCSE in:

English (grade 6 (B)) Maths (grade 6 (B))
A Level, or Level 3 equivalent, in any of the following:

Financial Related (Business/Economics/Accountancy)

Mathematics/Statistics

Desirable qualifications



Degree in:

Financial Related (grade Pass)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements



A successful DBS and Financial Background check is required.
Role will be offered subject to final approval on apprenticeship scheme.
