Turpin Barker Armstrong's Wealth Management division supplies clients with pensions, savings and investment advice and recommendations, including planning for retirement. The cornerstone of our service is our comprehensive Financial Review. We advise not only Turpin Barker Armstrong clients, but also in alliance with the clients of other accountants and solicitors.

The role:



This trainee paraplanner/financial advisor role is available within the financial services division of a growing accountancy practice based in Sutton.

As a trainee you will be required to study for your Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning with the Chartered Insurance Institute whilst providing administrative assistance to the currently small department. Typically, your duties will require:

Working with investment IT platforms to produce performance data for clients' portfolios

Preparing documentation online and in paper format

Corresponding with clients and keeping them informed throughout each stage of their relationship with us

Processing requests for payment of funds to and from clients

Liaising with investment managers to ensure the efficient investment and disinvestment of funds

Researching appropriate financial planning and wealth management strategies

Writing suitability reports alongside the advisor recommending appropriate courses of action for the client

Undertaking cash flow modelling

Chasing product providers for information about new and existing clients' financial products

Managing your tasks to ensure their efficient and compliant completion

Ensuring that business is conducted in a compliant manner by following the relevant appropriate processes

Candidate requirements:



A minimum of 3 A levels grade C or above

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to liaise with third parties whilst maintaining discretion

Confidence in using new IT systems

Knowledge of Microsoft products

A good fit with the rest of the department

The ability to be both proactive and reactive
Confidence and the ability to occasionally work under pressure

Salary and benefits:



25,000 to 26,000

6.3 weeks holiday including bank holidays and Christmas shutdown (increasing after 1 year's service)

3 month probationary period

Group personal pension 4% employer/employee contributions after successful completion of probationary period

No parking fees (park on road)

Hours 8.00am to 6.00pm Mon - Thurs
