We are looking for a Part-Qualified Accountant who is studying ACCA/ACA and wants to develop their skills in accounts, tax, VAT, and payroll. You will work with senior accountants, gain hands-on experience, and grow towards becoming a fully qualified accountant.
Main Duties
- Help prepare financial statements for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
- Support with individual and partnership tax returns
- Assist with CT600 forms, capital allowances, and corporation tax calculations
- Help ensure VAT returns, payroll year-end, tax returns, and accounts are completed on time
- Support the team with general tax work and tax planning
- Contact HMRC for VAT, self-assessment queries, and basic investigations
- Work on monthly and weekly payroll tasks
- Help manage a small portfolio of clients under supervision
- Support and guide junior trainees with basic tasks
- Assist with bringing new clients onboard
- Report work progress to Senior Accountants
About You
- Studying ACCA or ACA
- Good attention to detail and willing to learn
- Knowledge of software Xero, VT Transaction, MS Office & SAGE
- Basic understanding of accounts and tax
- Able to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues
- Positive attitude and good teamwork skills
