Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. Duties

Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and current trends. Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organised, and compliant with food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality output during busy service periods. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Maintain equipment in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Participate in training new kitchen staff on pastry techniques and kitchen best practices.

Experience

Proven experience in food production and preparation within a professional kitchen environment. Strong culinary experience with an emphasis on baking techniques and pastry arts. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is essential. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, showcasing the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dessert concepts is highly desirable. Kitchen experience that demonstrates teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude towards learning.
