Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. Duties

Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in the creation of new dessert items and seasonal menus, showcasing innovative techniques and flavours. Ensure all food items are prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry station, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality control. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate needs for reordering to the head chef or kitchen manager. Participate in training sessions for new kitchen staff on pastry techniques and best practices.

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, particularly within a pastry or bakery setting. Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on baking techniques and dessert preparation. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential. Previous restaurant experience is advantageous, along with a solid understanding of food production processes. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for creating high-quality pastries and desserts that delight customers.
