About the role



Are you a recent graduate or college leaver looking to start your career in payroll?

This Trainee Payroll Administrator role offers a fantastic opportunity to join an established payroll bureau, giving you access to their established internal training and opportunity for further employer funded training through IPP Education.

Working within an experienced, award-winning payroll team you will gain practical and hands-on experience while learning all aspects of payroll administration. You can expect to develop a comprehensive understanding of payroll processes and systems while delivering exceptional customer service.

Pay: 25,000 with OTE 28,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities



Gain expertise in all areas of payroll including calculation for Sick Pay, Maternity Pay, Holiday Pay, PAYE Tax, National Insurance and other salary adjustments.

Act as a primary point of contact for clients over the phone and email providing an industry leading experience.

Work within a team of 12 as a Trainee Payroll Administrator gaining hands on experience in a busy payroll bureau.

Organise your own work to ensure accuracy and timely client experience adhering to strict deadlines.

Work in person at a recently refurbished, modern office in Leatherhead.

Requirements



GCSE Maths and English Language (Minimum Grade B/6) and achieved A-Levels or above (any subject)

Good Microsoft Office Skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook)

Strong Written and Verbal Communication

Excellent Attention to Detail and high level of accuracy

Ability to work well in a pressured fast paced environment

Prior experience working in customer service is desirable but not essential

No prior payroll/finance/HR experience required
